Strong BBMRI.at contribution to Europe Biobank Week 2024
Austrian Minister Martin Polaschek opened the EBW in the Vienna Hofburg, followed by an introductory presentation of BBMRI.at to a 600+ audience. BBMRI.at and its partners contributed with multiple oral and poster presentations.
More than 600 delegates from various countries and over 40 exhibitors participated at the Europe Biobank Week 2024 in the Vienna Hofburg from 14-17 May 2024. This year’s motto was “Strengthening Biobanks and Biorepositories: Collaborative approaches for a sustainable future”.
In his opening speech, Prof. Martin Polaschek, Austrian Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research, highlighted the importance of biobanks as “essential research infrastructures that provide key resources for health and environmental research”. He also emphasized the value of BBMRI-ERIC, the largest European Research Infrastructure, which is located in Graz, Austria.
BBMRI.at participated with delegates from all BBMRI.at partner institutions and work package groups, engaged in networking and presented its work:
