BBMRI.at at Europe Biobank Week 2025: Austria’s Voice in European Biobanking

The Europe Biobank Week 2025 successfully took place from May 13 to 16 in Bologna, Italy. BBMRI.at made significant contributions throughout the event, including chairing sessions and delivering both oral and poster presentations. These activities highlighted its active role in advancing biobanking across Europe. The topics covered ranged from one health and green biobanking to the role of biobanks in big data and AI, as well as data security.

BBMRI.at participated with nearly all delegates from its BBMRI.at partner institutions and working groups, engaged in networking and presented its work:

Oral presentations:

  • Göbel, G (Med Uni Innsbruck): Security of personal data processing within biobanks
  • State of Art Speaker Valjan, M; Co-authors Perz, V and Kral, S (Biobank Graz, Med Uni Graz): Can biobanks be greener?
