Ready for microscopy – Junior Researchers Day

What happens to the blood or tissue removed at the hospital? At the junior researchers day 20 pupils of the 4th class of the primary school VS Ursulinen were able to figure that out. Also a journalist of the Austrian childrens’ newspaper ‘Kleinen Kinderzeitung’ attended.

Under the motto “Ready for microscopy  – a look inside the body”, children were able to get insight into the activities of a pathology and a biobank. In 5 stations they could  perform some laboratory work and experiments. In addition, the children learned about the human body with its organs and their functions.

The Junior Researchers’ Day was organized by BBMRI.at and the Austrian Society of Pathology together with “MUGies forschen macht schlau”, an initiative of the Med Uni Graz.
