Exposome Austria Symposium & Open Stakeholder Day 2025 – Connecting Experts and Advancing Research

Exposome Austria, coordinated by the University of Vienna—an partner of BBMRI.at—is pleased to announce its upcoming Symposium & Open Stakeholder Day on September 23, 2025. This event will bring together leading experts from diverse disciplines to advance exposomics research and foster collaboration across academia, industry, and government.

On September 23, 2025, Exposome Austria invites researchers, medical experts, and policymakers to the “Symposium & Open Stakeholder Day” at campus HORN, Lower Austria. The event aims to foster exchange between academia, industry, and government in the fields of environment, health, and chemistry, and to support the development of a sustainable Austrian exposomics framework.

Founded in 2022 as the national node of the European EIRENE Research Infrastructure, Exposome Austria offers top-level research and innovative services in analytical chemistry, bioinformatics, and biomedical analysis. Coordinated by the University of Vienna, Exposome Austria serves as a key contact point both nationally and internationally for environmental health, analytical technology development, and personalized prevention.

The symposium features keynote lectures and presentations of best-practice demonstrator projects. It also provides ample opportunity for networking with key stakeholders from academia, industry, and the public sector. The event focuses on building the first European ESFRI Research Infrastructure for exposome research.

Registration is open via email at exposome.austria@univie.ac.at. Upon request, a shuttle service from Vienna to the venue can be arranged.

BBMRI.at and EIRENE’s Exposome Austria closely collaborate in the Austria Cohort initiative (ATCI) and in the Austrian Human Biomonitoring Platform where both are partners. Moreover, the coordinators of BBMRI.at and Exposome Austria mutually participate in their Annual Meeting and Advisory Board Meeting where Cornelia Stumptner (BBMRI.at executive manager) is board member.
