BSL-3 laboratory for working with highly infectious sample material at BBMRI.at partner Med Uni Graz
In its June 2020 edition the health care market journal "Krankenhaus Technik + Management" (www.ktm-journal.de) reports about the new bsl-3 laboratory for working with highly infectious sample material at the Medical University of Graz.
The expansion of multi-resistant germs and the recurrence of new pathogens increases the need for BSL-3 facilities. The Medical University of Graz has recognized this. End of 2019, the new BSL-3 laboratory with a special laboratory infrastructure went into operation, which is now - due to the COVID-19 situation - also used for autopsies and testing possible drugs against Sars-CoV-2.
