Tissue-based Biomarkers for Advancement of Personalized Cancer Treatment

 

Aim & target group:


The aim of the workshop is to develop a concept how archived tissue material can be better used for research, development and validation of biomarkers. Therefore, harmonized standards and procedures need to be established and opportunities for funding explored. The workshop brings together the key stakeholders from pathology and biomedical research, cancer organizations, patient advocacy groups, and industry. Expected outcome is a summary of key aspects and points of view in a white paper for the European science policy.
