At the Long Night of Research 2024 BBMRI.at allows visitors to experience biobanking up close
BBMRI.at, Biobank Graz and the Institute of Pathology will once again be there as partners and give insight into biobanking and pathology work and open the Biobank Graz doors to anyone interested.
On 24 May from 17 to 23 BBMRI.at, its partners Biobank Graz and the Diagnostic and Research Institute of Pathology offer participatory booths for adults and children, exiting biobank tours, and present their work – making biobanking and pathology visible and tangible.
Use this opportunity to learn about the human body and try the work of biobankers, biomedical technicians, and pathologists themselves:
- Stain tissue and view it under a microscope
- Freeze tissue in liquid nitrogen at -196 °C
- Prepare samples for storage in a biobank
- Attend a guided tour through Biobank Graz, one of the largest biobanks in Europe
