Review on Ethics for AI in Biomedical Research and Biobanking
Researchers from BBMRI.at partner Med Uni Graz studied the scientific literature on Artificial Intelligences (AI) ethics wich is an topic becoming more and more relevant also in Biomedical Research and Biobanking. AI brings advantages but also risks – particularly with respect ethics, thati why AI Ethics – a field related to the study of ethical issues in AI – faces increasing interest.
In their review the researchers from BBMRI.at partner Med Uni Graz, provide an overview on AI ethics regulations or guidelines such as the Artificial Intelligence Act or the WHO “Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence for Health”. They summarized what AI ethics can learn from “general” ethics, and what are the main research questions in AI ethics in biomedical research and biobanking.
