Will the next COVID drug be produced in plants?

SARS-CoV-2, the corona virus that triggered the current pandemic, will remain. Practically all researchers are currently assuming this. Consequently also the disease COVID-19 will remain and, therefore, medication will be needed to counteract it.
An international team of researchers from Med Uni Graz, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and a company from South Africa is pursuing an exciting approach to develop a COVID drug made from plants.
