“Health Informatics meets Digital Health” – BBMRI.at with keynote lecture at the dHealth Conferfence 2022
BBMRI.at Director Kurt Zatloukal (Med Uni Graz) was invited to hold a keynote at the dHealth Conference. His presentation on the topic “AI-based diagnostics: opportunities and challenges” was the first one following the opening of the dHealth by Austria’s Minister of Health Johannes Rauch.
Artificial intelligence becomes more and more important in health care and health diagnostics, such as diagnostic pathology. This development is also relevant for biobanks leading to a demand for integration of, for example digitized histological pathology slides, focussing on data (meta)quality and thinking about new data access models and trusted data environments.
Since 2007 the dHealth Conference – THE digital Health Event in Austria – attracts several hundred participants from academia, industry, government and health care organizations. With its motto “Health Informatics meets Digital Health” the event provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, decision makers and vendors to discuss innovative health informatics and dHealth solutions.
The 16th dHealth event took place on May 24-25, 2022 in the ‘Apothekertrakt’ of Schönbrunn Palace. Minister of Health Johannes Rauch and the organizing partners welcomed the more than 300 guests, who presented the latest developments in the digital health sector by more than 80 speakers during these two days.
