Animated video explains to patients and citizens how a biobank works

BBMRI.at partner Biobank Graz is one of the largest European biobanks localized in a hospital setting. In an animated video they now visualize “biobanking” for patients and explain how a biobank works and why biobanks are important.

The video gives an exciting insight into the substantial role of patients in the overall biobanking process, thereby encouraging people to support the work of the Biobank Graz.

The Biobank Graz of the Med Uni Graz is an active link between research and trusted partner between medicine and industry, and aims at providing academic and industrial research partners with the best possible support in establishing new therapeutic approaches and diagnostic methods. The samples are stored pseudonymized in the Biobank Graz and used for research. This requires modern technologies and human know-how that Graz has built up over decades.
