BBMRI-ERIC and Nodes unveiled 10-Year Roadmap in Brussels: “Biobanking for a Healthier World”

After a decade of operations BBMRI-ERIC, together with its nodes like BBMRI.at, celebrated the launch of their 10-Year Roadmap in Brussels. With the vision of “Biobanking for a Healthier World,” this roadmap embraces the “One Health” approach, highlighting the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health and aiming to advance biobanking for improving health.

The BBMRI-ERIC 10-Year Roadmap has been developed over the past year through an intensive community engagement and consultation process with BBMRI Member States, National Focal Points and Biobanks, the Patient and Citizen Pillar Stakeholder Forum, the External Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board and other key stakeholders. With a clear new vision, a revised mission and eight strategic objectives, this roadmap will enable close alignment of national programs with BBMRI-ERIC’s European activities, fostering synergies and increased community engagement at an unprecedented level. BBMRI-ERIC celebrated this outstanding achievement with numerous international guests.
