BBMRI.at-Vertreter*innen bei Meeting der ISO/TC 212 Arbeitsgruppe 4
BBMRI.at-Vertreter*innen der Med Uni Graz nehmen regelmäßig an den Sitzungen der ISO/TC 212 Arbeitsgruppe 4 – „Mikrobiologie und molekulare Diagnostik“ – teil. Das letzte fand vom 11. bis 14. Juni 2024 im DIN in Berlin statt. Hauptziel war die Verbesserung bestehender und die Entwicklung neuer ISO-Normen für Mikrobiologie und molekulare Diagnostik.
Die Entwicklung und Etablierung von ISO- und CEN-Qualitätsstandards für Biobanken und biomedizinische Labore zu unterstützen, ist ein wichtiger Teil der Arbeit von BBMRI.at und seinen Partnern. BBMRI.at-Geschäftsführerin Cornelia Stumptner und der ehemalige BBMRI.at-Direktor Kurt Zatloukal von der Medizinischen Universität Graz nahmen vom 11. bis 14. Juni 2024 an einer Sitzung der ISO/TC 212 WG4 im Deutschen Institut für Normung (DIN) in Berlin teil.
Beide BBMRI.at-Verterter sind Teil dieser ISO-Arbeitsgruppe, die bereits eine Reihe von 22 Normen zu molekularer in-vitro Diagnostik erarbeitet hat. Diese Standards wurden im Rahmen des EU-Projekts SPIDIA4P (Standardisation of generic Pre-analytical procedures for Invitro DIAgnostics for Personalized Medicine), an dem auch BBMRI.at-Partner Med Uni Graz als Projektpartner beteiligt war, entwickelt. Fünf dieser Normen, die derzeit europäische CEN-Normen sind, werden nun zu internationalen ISO-Normen weiterentwickelt.
Neben diesen präanalytischen Probenqualitätsnormen werden auch andere ISO-Normen, die für den Bereich der medizinischen molekularen Diagnostik von großer Bedeutung sind, neu entwickelt.
