Im Mittelpunkt der Studie steht die menschliche Alterung, die in den kommenden Jahrzehnten zu den gro\u00dfen Herausforderungen f\u00fcr Medizin und Gesundheitspolitik z\u00e4hlen wird. Die Pilotphase wurde 2016\u20132017 durchgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hypothesen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Die menschliche Alterung ist ein synchron ablaufender Prozess funktioneller und morphologischer Ver\u00e4nderungen, der alle Organsysteme betrifft und aufgrund seiner Komplexit\u00e4t nur durch einen multidisziplin\u00e4ren Ansatz umfassend untersucht werden kann.<\/li>\n<li>Interindividuelle Unterschiede hinsichtlich des Beginns und der Geschwindigkeit des Alterungsprozesses lassen sich durch genetische, lebensstilbedingte, umweltbezogene und soziale Faktoren erkl\u00e4ren.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Die Identifikation gemeinsamer \u201eAlterungs\u201c-Signalwege, die mehrere oder alle untersuchten Organsysteme beeinflussen, erm\u00f6glicht die Identifizierung potenziell besonders wirksamer Ansatzpunkte zur Pr\u00e4vention altersbedingter Einschr\u00e4nkunge<strong>n.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Studiendesign<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die GSHA ist eine bev\u00f6lkerungsbasierte Kohortenstudie. Geeignete Personen wurden nach dem Zufallsprinzip aus dem offiziellen Melderegister der Stadt Graz ausgew\u00e4hlt und mittels Einladungskarte zur Teilnahme an der Studie eingeladen. Die R\u00fccklaufquote lag bei etwa 25 %.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Datenerhebung <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Die GSHA umfasst Fragebogenerhebungen zu soziodemografischen Daten, Medikamenteneinnahme, Familien- und Krankengeschichte sowie zu Lebensstilfaktoren wie Ern\u00e4hrung, k\u00f6rperlicher Aktivit\u00e4t und Sozialverhalten. Erfasst werden au\u00dferdem Lebensqualit\u00e4t, Reproduktion, Schlafgewohnheiten und Pers\u00f6nlichkeitsmerkmale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Klinische Merkmale des Alterungsprozesses werden durch umfassende k\u00f6rperliche Untersuchungen des Nervensystems, Gehirns, der Augen, Haut und des Herz-Kreislauf-Systems sowie mittels bildgebender Verfahren von Herz, Gehirn und Augen erfasst.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Von den Teilnehmenden werden Blut-, DNA-, RNA-, Urin- und Speichelproben gewonnen und f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Forschungszwecke in der Biobank Graz archiviert. Bereits zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme werden routinem\u00e4\u00dfige Laborparameter sowie Hormonstatus, Zusammensetzung des Immunsystems und genetische Parameter wie die Telomerl\u00e4nge
